What a shame, but as you say, it's not the end of the world. BTW, is that a bunny between your spot lights?

Hi all,

Well it's been ages since i have been on here so i thought i'd update.

I can't really say i have any exciting trips to report on as we have had yet more set backs. This time in the form of a major broken leg. I've been out of action for 3 months which has had disastrous affects on the bank balance. We have how ever managed to get a Toyota Landcruiser 80 series, 4.5l straight 6 petrol. Loads of power it's great, loves the fuel though but at it's 60p a liter out here i seem to justify it to myself as o.k Smile I still preferred my disco even if it was slow. Not just because all the work that went in to it, they just drive better i think. Talking of Discos, i managed to sell mine here as a donor car for the same price i paid for it in the u.k which was nice.

The new 'Cruiser is stock and on road tyres. I was planning a few mods but due to current bank statements the next 5 months will be mainly done on road with some light off road touring. We are planning to leave sydney in a week or so and make our way up to Brisbane (might take you up on that offer Digahole Smile ) looking for work as we go. I'm still 3 months off being back to full strength after the leg snappage.

So, watch this space and see what trouble i can get us in to next.

The leg pics below and new wagon. Proceed with caution if you squeamish!

The break. Spiral fracture of the tib and fib. The moral of the story, motocross bikes are bad. If i hadn't had a decent pair of bike boots on this would have been sticking out the side of my leg. I was there for an hour before anyone turned up. Sad

During the operation to insert a titanium rod through the bone

Rod in place. straight leg yay

The aftermath of having my knee dislocated so they could drill down the top of the bone and hammer the rod in.

The 'Cruiser, not a substitute for the disco but hay ho.

I forgot, Damian, it's a koala. My aunty gave it to us as a traveling mascot. It will be finding it's way to the front of the cruiser.

Well, also gone through your thread and really enjoy it. Except the broken leg! What the heck happened? Hope the box on the table didn't have anything to do with it!
Anyways, I hope everything is good now and give us some updates please?
