what oil do i put in the gearbox in my manual td5 disco? and how much do i need??

MTF94 in the R380 main gearbox & EP90 in the axles & transferbox

Manual box? I've read this on http://www.automd.com/ It should be about half way up on the inboard side( is the filler / level plug). Just take this out and if oil comes out then none needed.If you do need to top it up then just fill (get one of the bottles with the spout) it until the oil starts to come out.
Same goes for the transfer box also. Though check you get the right oil for each as I think they are different.

Yep MTF for the gearbox and Ep75w90 for the t/f box .... or ....

Difflock Evo 1 for the gearbox and Evo2 for the t/f box and axles

The wrong kind of oil can cause all kinds of problems. automotive dealerships in your area should be able to help you out. Then you can put in more oil with confidence.

Or just buy the correct oils from Difflock Store and support the people who supply the forum for us to use free of charge.

be careful, buy proper oil and at an authorised shop only! I used to buy not exactly suitable brand and had some troubles with my vehicle afterwards.

I find fully synthetic gives much better results - and get it from the Difflock store.
