I do like a good thread revival...

especially after 9 months... Mr. Green

managed to get a load of work done, despite having 3 months down time after getting knocked off my motorbike, and yesterday my sammy took its first drive outside, under its own power! Very Happy

she's a wide ol' girl...

let the girlfriend have a go.. tis amusing seeing her get in and out.. Mr. Green

still a load more to do, but its all down to little things now... breathers, electrics, mud guard material to keep plod at bay, and some under body protection... but im so happy she's finally driving! happy times Smile

Looks amazing mate well done.

If you want a trip to a really good site then let me know. £10 for the day and lots of room to try it out. Everything from rocks to mud.

I'm not that daft Chris Razz ... as much as i like zook axles, they're land cruiser 80 series axles under there..

imagine the bang you'd hear doing this with Suzuki axles

Laughing

Funnily enough, I measured up against Paul Mac's c303 which has off-set rims and beadlocks on it (before i fitted my beadlocks) and it was only 2 inches narrower than it Shocked

if only i had the portal ends to go with it Mr. Green

Just seen your truck on Ebay. seems such a shame to see you sell it, spesh after seeing this thread. How was it on the green lanes after? was it abit too high for some bits?

Just wish I hadnt just bought another Suzuki.
Hope you get what you want for it.

well, it's gone... went down to dorset with its new owner last night... he text me earlier to say it took him about 7 hours to get back home... a braver man than I...

I didnt manage to get any action videos unfortunatley.. the last off road day i was planning on getting a load.. and then i dropped my camera in a muddy puddle... d'oh! Sad

still... Least i have a load of dicent photos to remind me of the good days..

just hope the new owner takes as good a care of her and we dont see it stripped for parts anytime soon.. that would be heart breaking..

Sorry to bring this topic back up, but hey why not! Its an excellant read anyway!
Ive followed in Andys steps and removed my body for rust repairs. Most is welded up, and now ready for paint etc.
I notice on the first page there was talk of Etch Primer put on first, and it was suggested to use:

Now I have used this stuff before, and its excellant stuff, however my stuff is/was red, and is it not zinc primer? No where does it mention being an etch primer?
Cheers
