doesnt work. search on here. i tried it and made custard with a half life of millions of years. the pump chops up the animal fats, heats the oil slightly and mixes it in together. you have to either settle the oil for a few months first or pre filter all the fats out. and that defeats the object. that stuff works great when preparing bio, but not with wvo. Confused

You need to filter the oil through a pillowcase or similar before filtering with a pump and filters, this gets rid of the fats, bits of chips and fag ends etc. pillowcases are really cheap from the charity shop or even free from your cupbourd.

The most common veg friendly pump is the tam 105. I use a mono CMM (Its the dogs danglies Cool ) and pump through 3 10" filters 10, 5, 1 micron (I think). My filters are wrapped with J cloths with a lastic band to increase filter life. I have pressure gauges on each of the filter housings to tell me when they are blocking.

Once you have a good filtering setup using pumps you will never go back to using socks.

The cheapest place to get filters and pumps is usualy the forum below. It also has lots of really good advice about using veg.
