Hi all,
My 3.5V8 in my 110 CSW has been running on a 50l tank of gas since I have owned it, which gives me 140m range, which is better than the 100m the seller reconed. The tank as it is now sits uder the ad bed where the petrol tank used to be.
As im finding 140m a bit restrictive:
1) how easy is it to fit another tank?
2) Would I be better scrapping the tank i have and getting 2x 40L?
3) Can I DIY the installation and if not how much is it likely to cost?
TIA Tom.

Thanks for the link, but what about the other bits that I will need to plumb it in and is it a DIY job?
Tom.

You'll need some 6mm copper pipe and olives (ebay), and wire to operate the solenoids on the new tank.
I don't know how the 2 tanks join together either so you might need a y-piece of some kind?

Just a quick thought re. the 50 L tank - are you sure the cut off valve (or whatever its called) is working correctly so the tank only fills to 80 % ? The previous owners figures look about right for 40 litres which would be about right the 80% fill.....
I don't need all the space in the back of my 90 so I have a 90 litre (70L fill, approx 190 miles average) tank behind the rear bulkhead, which fits really well between the wheel arches.

No im not certain, only i have always been able to put in about 47l from empty. According to the conversion certificate it is a 50l tank with 80% fill valve which was done in '99 and wont need a retest untill 2009.
If i drive "entusiastically" i can do 100miles to the tank too.

Tom,
These guys carry a wide range of tanks to current cert standards and should be able to provide/advise.
