There is no way I would have thought that one of those engines would have ever fit.

I can imagine the phone call to the insurance company will be interesting Laughing

Very Happy you remind of myself 30 years ago, then it was our old farm series 3 which i shoe horned a 4.1 perkins 248 4 cyl under the bonnet, with the fuel turned up she was about 90 hp but with as much torque as a chevy v8 .used it for years, was fast and very noisy.what your doing with the 6bt looks really good ,think i might have used the non turbo gearbox but thats not much smaller, all the best with getting the beast finished,Phil

thanks Phil
the thing thats ******* me off is the parts that should work dont haha
but i have a clutch now, will have a working injection pump tomorrow hopefully
the non-turbo spicer box is the same size... just easier to hook an lt230 onto it appears lol so the overall length is shorter

got a 160hp pump and +40hp fuel pin goin on the engine before the end of the week... and possibly a 3200rpm spring to follow.... so will be seeing a nice n easy 200hp soon

hi nick, looks like all that hard work is really paying off.theres nothing better than taking on a project that all the talkers say cant be done and making it work Laughing ......ive got a home made booster pump for an irrigation gun here ,iput an engine and box out of a dodge 50 in it, turns out the gearbox is a zf s5 24,dont know how that differs from your gearbox but this one has a dog leg 1st gear and 5 speed, its all ally even the bellhousing so really light,if anybody builds a mk2 cummins landy one of these might be a bit smaller and lighter Confused keep fine tuning the beast m8

yea that box looks like an alloy casing one... probs a comparible weight to an lt77
would be interesting to see what the output shaft is like on that for mating to the LT230

need to sort some wierd vibes out (think its the slack rear diff input :/ )
need to make a good intake for the turbo and compressor (opinions needed)
needs to make my modded r380 tunnel sit down properly (i bent the seatbox abit putting the thing in)
then i want to repaint it so it looks smart
