Just bought a log splitter and a replacement pressure washer with a 10m extension hose.
Am I sad for being super excited about them?

You bought a log splitter really sad men make their own Your powers of geek are weak, old man.
The pressure washer depends, dose it have a conventional flat fan nozzle or a rotary jet nozzle? Now that's a really sad question The problem about pressure washers is they always manage to make the operator moist.

is it a maul or a hydraulic jobby?

yes, real men use a splitting maul.
Simple to use -- just imagine the ex wife's head every time you swing it.

I bought a large axe for log splitting and fulfilled a childhood ambition by buying a chainsaw. I was excited for weeks.......

Mmm tools / toys no man can have enough
I cut a 40ft Christmas tree down with an axe last year (chain saw wouldnt start ) it was hard work but fun log splitters are cheating but fun with axes soon wears off.
I seem to be reaching a point of not needing more tools Well the tools I want now are getting very expensive so I only get a new tool fix very occassionally, used to be a time it was every week

I have a full complement of axes, mails, wedges etc but with over 3 tonnes of cut down trees to split and stack, pro ably mostly on my own, I thought a splitter was a good investment.
Once the first split is done I'm probably much faster with an axe but toys is toys!

I am so happy when making kindling.
Therapeutic and you start to think you are really good at it!
Been so disappointed over the years having twice bought throwing axes (hatchet) and being lucky to even get them to stick, let alone really hit the target every time.
