Very nice
Too nice to get that dirty.
Dry sump I hadn't noticed your post. It's been a sureal summer!
I wondered what the sump itself looked like, how many segments the pump had, how much oil was in the tank, how the pump was driven, does the oil drain into the sump if left standing, how big is the suction pipe, how did you allow for the pump running dry when on steep banks for a long time
(A marathon of questions)
Which I've guessed at; sump has a centre channel and a bit cut out to miss the axel, 3 segment pump, gal and a half in a 200mm diameter by 400mm deep bulkhead mounted tank, 'V' belt, yes the oil will leak into the sump if left a long time, 1", and finally, I had a pump made with internal ports to self-lubricate
And now I'm nearly there, with just a few fittings to do, I'm even more intrigued what your system looks like

Any questions, if you pm me your number I'll get Alex give you a call if you want? (when he's free!!!)
The old tank...
the later tank (work in progress, relocation of supercharger, different tank, and Audi R8 GT plenum design )

Thanks for the piccys. Love the 'bling'
A chat would be fun.
I think that the prop shaft makes both that and my instalation very simular.
My tank is part in the cab, with the top in the engine bay, as it passes through the rangy bulkhead. But thats mainly because my hydraulic tank already took up that handy space just in front. And my pump is in the same place, as it is as low as possible, but has miss a full axel travel. So that picture must show the difinative landy dry sump set up.
Yep, most interesting.

I don't like the colour
That's what my wife said!!!!
Sweet truck I like the way it doesn't use all the crap bits of a defender, I could almost bring myself to build one....
