I don't mind the ads, if they help difflock in any way then I'm all for it and
at least the ads aren't like some sites that actually stream a little movie to your system when you're trying to listen to illegally uploaded music on youtube...
If I'm not interested in an advert I simply don't read it or browse past it, it's just like skimming the newspaper.
Easy when you know how!

Difflock has always been a commercial enterprise.
Discussing with the Mods however is pointless, however, as it ain't got nuffink to do wiv us!

I think the discussion in the first or maybe second place was just a general moan about the adverts flashing about the screen while members were trying to read and understand other members posts that have been written which should be the primary focus of any forum...
It was the Mods - or at least one - that jumped into the discussion ranting that the adverts pay for the free use of the forum - that was how the discussion with the Mods came about - as you say pointless so why did the Mods join in?

This post may have been written tongue in cheek...
there again there may be the possibility that it was not
