find out what oil your chippy uses, if it`s palm oil you will need to turn it into bio first, quite a lengthy process and the set up can be expensive. if they use veg oil, you need to filter it first.
more landrover specific advice will be along when you find out

You need to fit a twin tank conversion to allow starting on diesel then a switchover to veg when warm.
Or convert the oil into Bio-Diesel.
Everything you need to know and some things you don't are here

A 300tdi will run on a diesel/veg oil mix.
During the summer I run on 50/50 veg/diesel: when I go on a long run I'll increase that to 70/30, but fill with neat diesel at the end of the run to ease starting the following morning.
In winter I run mine on a max of 10/90 veg/diesel.

Hello folk, I've been running my Discos 200 and 300, and a Pug306tdi on a blend of WVO (no palm in it) and unleaded, 80% veg and 20% petrol in the spring/summer/early autumn, in winter the blend changes to 75/25 and when the temperature plummets towards freezing or less then 1/4 of the tank will be standard diesel. I have covered in excess of 50K miles among the 3 cars, but must say it works better with the landies.
