Disco or Defender? I'm pretty sure the long & short bell housing boxes are several inch different so I'd suspect the shafts are too.

i am after one with shaft length of 200 mm (7.8 inches) so a tdi box may work. also wondering if a v8 one will work. what it is is that my new trialler will be running a pug 1.9td engine (sat in garage). the LDV pilot gearbox is the same as rover (lt77 i think). so thinking if i run a range/ disco box wil lgive me difflock and transfer already built to box instead of messing around trying to get ldv box to mate to sj transfer
