Guys i'm looking for 2 of the locking rings/nuts that hold 404 switchs in place as per the photo below. if anyone has a couple spare i can send some beer tokens.

ok after much faffing around with bolt suppliers, plumbers merchants, electrical wholesalers i can confirm it is not a standard thread metric or otherwise!! Anyone any idea what thread the locking ring is or have a couple on a scrap vehcle i could get? i don't really want to have to buy 2 new switches @ £18 each just for the rings.

Hi John,

I'm sure I have a couple of those old swithes in my shed you can have, from a mog I scrapped many years ago. Will have a look over the next couple of days and let you know......

Have found a couple of nuts! bit crusty, but will clean up just fine.
