Does mixing some 2 stroke oil with your veg oil mean it is thin enough so you do not need to heat it up first?
If this is the case what ratio do you need to mix it to?
Does petrol also do the same?

i rest for no one
i run mine up to 90% veg oil and did add petrol but found it lost abit of poke petrol lowers the cetane level in diesel(it may be in my head but it feels better with no petrol in there)
so i just add 10% diesel and its fine but then its not as cold down here as it is up there ,mine is lumpy on cold start up .
i left out 2 stroke oil for a few months as i ran out and wont pay too much for it,but have just started useing it agine and can see why i used to use it,its soo much better, more mpg and less diesel knock ,i put in 200ml in a full tank,2 stroke oil does not thin cooking oil but it helps to lube the fuel pump and clean the injectors and inside the engine.

hi mark. i run 7litres of diesel to 15 litres of veg in my trak. not tried 2stroke yet. ive run it on richer mixtures of veg to diesel and it just gets hard to start in the morning. if im going on a long trip i get it warm then just fill up with veg then when i get near where im going i put some diesel in for the next cold start. getting about 30mpg and that was with a crap filled inlet manifold (egr valve), half a turn on the pump and im on locked hubs. no boost adjustment as i cant be bothered. just cleaned the inlet manifold out so it should have abit more poke now and not smoke as much.

i put in 500ml of 2 stroke last night and then put in 11 litres (15 quidsworth) of diesel. there was already a couple of litres of veg/diesel mix still in the tank. i've driven about 30 miles so far and......absolutley no difference what so ever and thats on a 2 stroke rich mixture. Having taken the spark plug out of a well serviced and well looked after 2 stroke outboard engine the other day i dont think i will be putting anymore 2 stroke in the fourtrak with all the soot and carbon that builds up through using it.
