Hi.
My gerabox is noisy, but only when it's warm. Would switching to synthetic oil help at all?
Recommendations?

Probably not, but it will give you better running and better mpg.
The chances are that if you have a noisy gearbox then something is clapped out inside - but good lubrication never caused any faults or anything to get worse.
You asked for recommendations:
If the car is fairly new get it fixed under warranty.
If it is a clapped out old heap scrap it and get a new one. Or of course you could always strip it down and renovate it.

Hehe, 99 vitara with a VW1.9TD in it. The input shaft chatters at idle, and it has a quiet whine when moving.
Time to find a new (second-hand-but-better-than-this-one) gearbox.
