I'm sure I've got some old crusty door tops somewhere, will have a look. Can't remember if they are std or doka, which type do you need?

eather would do as the basic construction is the same ,frounts would be nice but the plan is to prove if they can be refurbed at a censible cost compaired to new as im sure the supply of new will dry up befor long ,so hope the result will be to all 404 owners good.

I've been looking at the aperture and it looks like 'most' of a front frame would fit, but the bit which goes around the front of the screen is where I see that there is a difference between doka rear doors and standard front doors. I was planning on using perspex (from you're advise mogmanner) for the rears, but if there is real actual door tops to be had !!!
Mike97 if you do have some doka rears you are willing to part with is there any way something can be worked out involving your frames, mogmanners contact and ending up on my mog?

Gents,
I have found a crusty old door top in my garage, (happy to donate to a good cause) I'm not sure yet if its a front, rear, std or doka as I don't keep the mog here. I will check this weekend and report back.
My doka has a taller windscreen than most 404's, Am I right in thinking its just the doka's that have a taller screen??
Regards Mike

by taller do you mean it has full depth glass as this was the fitted to 404 up to about 1957/8 ,these are the same hight but look taller.

No my screen has the wipers at the bottom, but it is definetly few inches taller than a standard screen. As you can see from the pic the door top I have is a std. r/h side (must have come from a scrap single cab I had some years ago) The two straps don't line up with the slots in my screen either.
sorry dxmedia - no doka rear door tops
