I have a pretty standard Fortrak which i would like to mod up a bit.

So far i have off road Tyre's.

Not much i can do with suspension as it's leaf springs.

I need a snorkel which im gonna get asap

Just wondering what i could do, to make a bit better off road.

[Not much i can do with suspension as it's leaf springs.]
theres lots you can do with leaves lifted leaves are availible
what about drop shakkels you can even get bushies that you put in the springs to allow them to twist
im finding the best thing to make it beter is not to go for stupid wide tyres
you can dich the original bumpers and make some stronger steel ones and make sure you have some good strong recovery points[/quote]

I thought the standard bumpers were pretty heavy duty.
Could get some one to make up a front one, with good recovery points.

yes a company called dever springs in the usa make a front eye bush that allows the spring to twist in the mount they are not cheep but do work as for shackles teraflex make the original drop shackles but most will of heard of the imfamous D-flex
but try and replace your proberly nackered bushies with poly bushies but make sure you keep them well greased you will get alot more movement
as for bumpers yes any one with fabrication skill could make you one

Awwww gee thanks man Embarassed

Tis true tho, there's loads you can do. Nothing much available off the shelf (apart from springs) so be prepared to get the grinder and the welder out. Razz

Steys does look good from that avatar pic Smile

Mine is just standard atm, but does have AT tyres on as I need to use it on the road 99% of the time.

The problem with the bumpers (especially the rear) is the fact that it pokes out so far. The first thing I want to do is to remove it and put something a lot slimmer in there.

Its not a case of strength, its purely a case of not wanting to catch it everytime I go up or down a steep slope! Smile
