Your local motor factors will probably be your best bet.

Cool

I've been using my local motor factor.

I think it's normally £14 for the pads and £16 for the shoes

Just had a shifty on brakesint

drum 58,02ex
caliper 51.64ex
pads 16.63ex
Disc 16.00ex

exchange caliper I would expect.
I don't know who gave you those quotes but I would try your
local motorist shops.

Also, vitara brake drums are cheaper I think.
You can enlarge the centre hole to fit on a sj/samurai hub

Man at those prices I would consider sticking rear discs on it! (I know its easy for me to say Twisted Evil )

But if your talking about that kind of money for drums then the discs have to be considered.

i need front pads and rear shoes. as a deffinate. when i get the rear drum covers off i may discover i need more for the rears.
would like to change the front calipers as they are old.
and as a rule of thumb i always change pads and disks at the same time on my bikes so thought it would be same with the car.
