Helloo, just wondering if it is possible for me to fit a CHERRY BOMB ROUND END TAIL BOMB (TB3.5/UNI) to my 1992 2.5 pajero ? will it make it sound good ? or will it not make much difference ? cheers, Alex

hi alex. if you do manage to get reasonable insurance on the car with all those mods could you let us know who with? im 20 and my bog standard fourtrak costs 1800 quid a month to insure and thats with 50% NCB Sad. if you cant get a cherry bomb couldnt you just run a straight through 3" system straight off the back of the turbo with no boxes what so ever?

the nfu ? or any of the insurance companies that are in the total of road mag who advertise for modded vehicles? the nfu though are easiest because you can do any mod to a vehicle and they dont care, the only they want to know is engine and gearing/oversize wheels.

Alex you are seriously over paying, I am 20 (same age as you) and I am paying £600 a year third party on my fourtrak I am with admiral if that helps. Its my policy and I am the main driver but I did add mother & father on the named drivers, seems to bring it down quite a bit.

On my Fourtrak I have a straight through 3" pipe from the turbo to the back with no boxes. You'll never get a Turbo engine to sound great. My old NA engine sounded amazing with a single straight through box on the middle.

Edit: My current insurance 3rd party was started when I was 20 with 1 years no claims and is £600 third party.

Its up again in March, but apparently everyones insurance has gone up? Sad

That worked well for me, 21yrs old hyundai terracan 2.9 auto - £700 a year third party, swift insurance, did what ^^^^^ did.

I removed the cat pipe, middle silencer on my terracan (copy of mk2 pajero) and not only does it sound cool, you get lots more power and troque. 2.5" diameter pipe. I have NOT told my insurance company yet.

I had a lightly mod'ed 3L v6 at 22 and used to pay £470 for me and my fiance with both of us having 3 points on the licence.

That was just through good old church hill.

Lifted, 33", snorkel, locking diffs front and rear. Few other bits.
