hi, do u know if any of the brake parts are interchangeable with any other model of merc with g wagons? thanks loads for any info

*I THINK* some merc vans before sprinters from 4 series up used the same calipers.
Also im nearly sure that I read/heard/dreamt Confused that some older iveco vans used them aswell
Im sure a grown up will be along shortly to clarify.

Have you just been and asked Mercedes for a quote or could you already guess the answer Laughing

Older G wagons used a few different makes of brake parts and in the past we have had to tell the dealer which make was fitted to ours before they could provide a part number for brake shoes. IIRC most of the new parts we bought have come from GSF. Last time we rebuilt the front brakes on ours, the callipers got sent to http://www.biggred.co.uk/ to be refurbished.

Laughing i knew bits were expencive, i was buying a pair of axles off jack tatty buti found out they didnt have brakes and when i looked on fleebay i wouldent be able to afford to fit them once i bought brakes aswell, although they were an exelent price from jack im skint at the moment, so its not a worry now, but thanks for the info Smile
