Hi all,
I have recently obtained 2x25l drums of the following:
http://www.morrislubricantsonline.co.uk/scripts...Diesel+Engine+Oil

Now, I know it says diesel engine oil, but its the same weight as I use in my V8, and I think meets all the same standards. If its ok to use I just inherited a lot of free oil changes!

Going into a Rover V8, so not that new... the design's only about 50 years old Laughing
I figured it would be fine and all the correct standards are on the drum - just thought it would be worth checking!

Cheers Dennis.
The engine was completely stripped and rebuilt by me a few years ago, but used very little since then so there should be no debris at all - I remember the toothbrush work... Evil or Very Mad

The oil is however full of water as it's been sat so long, so its already got a fresh load of the Morris oil.

After MOT and 75mile drive to Portsmouth, it's getting another change and a new filter (genuine).

500-1000 miles later another change to something a bit more special with a new filter.

I'm actually glad it's detergent as I'm really using it as flushing oil!

Thanks all.
