Hi Differs,

Havent been around for ages as Im now in Spain, although I tend to read you guys from time to time.

Ok I have just got hold of an LSD from a vitara, the stock LSD that some vitaras mounted.

I have a hybrid back axels so its a straight swap into my exles housing Wink

My questions, is there any info about how to lock them more? Ive been told that stock they lock a 30% to 40%, I would like to create more friction to about 60% locking capacity. Does anyone know how to do this? Maybe adding shims to the clutches but no idea really.

Second question, what type of oil do they need, Ive been told that with normal gear oil the clutch discs will get damaged, others say it will lock more but will eventually break Rolling Eyes
So I think I will put normal oil with an LSD additive....

I did use the search but no info came up Confused

Thanks for your recommendations guys.

Bye from Barcelona, Spain

Well a spanish forum has gave me some info.

The idea is to machine the "lid" which closes the LSD disks inside, to cause the discs to sit tighter and therefore have more friction/traction.

Pics to show:

After the discs:

Diff and second pic is the lid after being machined a few mil to push discs closer together:

Hope this helps someone. Always nice to share things around with forums.
Contribution from Spain. Cool
