Ive been bored tonight and been searching the interwebs for cars (ie robins, VW bajas [always wanted], sLang Rovers and general modified cars)

And I had an idea as it looks like im going to of fixed everything mechanical in the 2 years of owning lil beastie, Shocked that they may now outlive the rusting shell.

I thought - fibre glass - robin reliants - length and width measurements - might fit!

Now has anyone done/tried this and just for fun what else have people plonked on top of the shell? Twisted Evil

Ps. I know this hopefully will contain pictures so fairplay MODs if you move it to gallery.

Not me but a local Mini specialist put a mini shell on SJ chassis and running gear! Was funny to see it out and about! Smile

i haven't been checking weather any on these would fit but i like the idea of 80s 90s hatches as body swaps.

personally i think they'd be both comfortable and have plenty of room.

The Polo and Rascal were my brothers and mine, The Polo is still going strong and being abused when ever I get the chance

The Rascal was way to top heavy for proper off road use but a blast to drive

I am curently building a 4x4 Morris Minor as I need the 4 seats but it will be a while in the makling due to a change in my work pattern meaning not so much spare time.

I would say its not ever as simple as it looks and will involve loads of cutting, fabbing and welding but its worth it in the end Wink

i didnt want to open another topic, so:

Whats the offical name for the ball joints on the axle that the front wheels basicly turn on? (so i can find it the the haynes)

And how often are you meant to put new grease in them?

Cos my steerings abit stiff, the "balls" seem quite dry and i have the truck over a year and dont know when/if they've been done before!
