Just a few pics:
still need to finish building my rear bumper, and cut the second window panel out. I'm doing the rear windows so they fit inside the standard rubbers for now. They won't always be like this, but if I commit to welding them up then if I don't like them I'm stuck.
This is with my 60mm lift, and arches cut back, front inner wheelarches have been "tickled" into position
Will be resprayed soon (blue).

No reason why you can't do the same (or similar) to a Sportrak!
Looking good Simon! See you Saturday!

thanks stal My brother has a fourtrack the same as yours. Not used it in anger properly yet but it seems very capable. I would give my left kidney for a solid front axle!
Hoodoo - be good to catch up with you

Live axle But! Have you seen Parrots Fourtrak? His is torsion front coils back and his is fantastic off-road, it has been "slightly" modified though!

did you edit your post? I'm sure I never saw the question about how tall they are before. They are measuring 32" tall. Good thing is they are no wider than 215 15's so the steering isn't heavy
Niva nut, Hopefully there will be 4 nivas at least then! I think hoodoo is planning on coming too. I'm looking forward to it

yeah edited it as I had not looked at the pics so thought Looking "good" did not quiet describe the look" wicked "does he he and wanted to know how tall they were.
So are you getting any rubbing anywhere? I have to try and fit the 31"silverstones under and thought I would be ok with the guard trim and a bit of a tickle to the front arch around the foot well area.

I guess it's all dependant on the width of your tyres. these are no wider than my 215 15's, so I think that helps me out a lot. I've flexed it out, and I'm getting a bit of contact inside the rear arches, but it's above the spring seat and it's rubbing the side wall. I'm putting this down to the fact that it's lifted high and has a standard panhard which is pulling the axle over (it is noticeable when you look at it) hopefully when I've done that it sould be fine

have 31" silverstones on jimny rims as my 2nd set of tyres. Needed to trim the entire rear guard and on the front trimed off the outer edge and had to cut the foot well on one side.
Would have fitted easier if I used rims closer to standard niva offset.

thanks
my wheels are suzuki wellers. They must be aftermarket or something because I've not seen another set like them. they are offset the same as jimny wheels, but are 16"
They were also chrome to start with... that was soon sorted out!

In theory 700/16s are 30" tall but can vary from 29real to 31 if they are retreads.
