Now that the price of diesel has risen above £1.20, I've decided that even on my limited mileage it's becoming financially viable to go twin tank.
So, which kit to buy? There appears to be three main companies offering kits:
Smartveg - website unavailable - to me that's not a good sign.
Dieselveg: Comprehensive kit, with second tank for £617
Biotuning: Comprehensive kit, without second tank for £325.
Apart from the second tank, what's the difference in the kits?
Is the Dieselveg really worth twice as much as the Biotuning one?
Can I ask you why you chose your particular kit, and your thoughts having used them for some time?
Finally, since I've been running a mixture of diesel/veg, my 300tdi smokes a bit on full throttle (Sailed through it's MOT last year: this year just scraped through and the fuel consumption has increased slightly). I assume that veg oil prefers the injectors to be in tip top condition? I've no idea when the injectors were last changed (current mileage is 176k), so a new set is in the pipeline.
