Hi Folks,
Having had a three wheel unimog for too long now, Ive finally found the time the pull my front axle to bits. Not too bad a job, I had the axle out and stripped in about three hours inc. regular tea breaks!
An easy fix too, the dog had fallen off the fork and was sitting in the diff casing. I can only think somone in the past has removed the o/s half shaft without engaging difflock, casuing the dog to fall out, easy mistake i guess?
One problem I noticed is a broken bolt hole on the housing that bolts to the gearbox, anyone got a spare lying about to exchange for folding beer tokens?
Looking forward to having two difflocks
Mike
