is there such a thing as an automatic gearbox for an SJ413? if so will it fit onto a vit engine with a conversion plate?
im going to put a vitara engine into a newly aquired 410 based special, and thought it would be fun for it to be auto.

If you allready have the vit engine,
why not sell it & buy a compete running mot failure automatic vitara
. (You can get a good running auto for around £400)
Get from it whats needed to make a straightforward conversion,
(probably easier to get engine & box installed & running)
then sell all the rest.
You should get the job done simply & be better off.

already got a vit for parts, but its a munual. thought about using the vit geabox as well, but i think we decided it was going to be too long and the engine would end up too far forward, but i could be wrong.

have a look at this

vit engine/gearbox/vit reduction box and sj t box and all fits almost in the std place
not sure if the auto box is longer
