|
|
|
Hi,
I am new to this highly recommended site and forum and was hoping for some advice. I have recently destroyed both rear leaf springs on my sportrak, (straight through 3 of the leaves on one of them) following getting some big air at Castleford a couple of weeks ago. I am now struggling to find some right priced springs, for an ageing sportrak that was only worth £300 when I bought it.
Can anyone tell me if the rear leaf springs off a fourtrak will fit a sportrak without too much trouble, and can the difference in height be compensated for by adjusting the front torsion bars. Oh and does anyone have any for sale
Cheers
John

I thought as much, have looked at milner, they are probably the best priced, but more than I wanted to pay, hence the reason for looking for second hand ones,

they seem exspensive but you get all the bushies u bolts and shakles(i think just check) which work out cheep because you will end up buying these if you use second hand ones

you were right, thought I'd dropped lucky this afternoon, went to take them off another sportrak that was for breaking, and one side of that one was broken too

buy new its the only way second hand will not last so it would be a waste of time .Milners are the place to go i done my rear springs took me about 4 hrs to do the job with a little help from me mate and a lot of tea..milners may be able to help with the fourtrak question i beleave it would make the sporty higher in the back but the ride will be very harsh so maybe standard leaf springs (gave me 6 inch clearance in the wheel arch ridding on colway 235/70/15 ) but using longer shackels?????
oh and silver rear windows help keep it cool inside
