From (dodgy) Memory, fuel hose is 8mm ID and the coolant hose was 12mm....

Hi nat,

this might be another trivial question but...

just wondering how you managed to get the nuts on the bolts through the firewall that secure the hx and the changeover valve.

had a look in the manual and it doesn't seem to show a way of getting to the back of the firewall.

i can see it through the vents just below the windscreen but how do i get my arm in there to put on the nuts?!!

I had not noticed this post - that is now a year old...

I used self drilling self tapping scews

"Fastec" fastners.

Hmmmm, how old are you Nat? I'm just wondering how far the edukashun standards have slipped - May 1st 2008 to May 2010 is one year....?

i used a heat exchanger from a combi boiler, seems to do the job just as well and it was free.

Could you not have a setup where you ran normal diesel out of a second tank until the engine was hot and then switch to veg oil in the normal tank? Would this save the need for heaters and the like?

Doesnt your fourtrak come with the heated fuel pump nat? Not sure if its year related but im pretty sure mine is heated by the cooling system.

On peugeots many people bypass the thermostat in them so they run all the time. If it's possible this would be a good idea.
