Howdee DOOO!
My name is Dylan. (I appologize in advance for my spelling) I live up yonder in the far north of Canada! Saskatchewan to be specfic. I've been reading your forum for quite some time now, and thought i'd finally join. Lord knows im on here enough.
CBR247 knows me. Dontcha.. I hit up the ladausa.net forum alot.
So,, my lada niva storey. First off, I paid to much. Way to much. Way way to much. But i got a really peachy Niva. Girl started her asking price of 4,500 cad. I got her down to 2300. When i originally bought the niva i was pretty pleased with myself. I was looking locally for the longest time, but everything i spotted was just an utter wreck, somehow worth a fortune Sometimes you just gotta bite the bullet and BUY something. So, thats what i did. I have it. 80,000km. Nothing major wrong with it, passed my sask saftey with relative easy, had to throw a couple ball joints atter. But being a niva, that was a breaze.
So, problem 1 with niva. It's in Vancouver... or, 2500 ish miles away. . But lucky for me, i have a way to dedicated friend, who just happens to be in the city at the time. He rode down there on his cbr 125 (motorbike) which is a feat in iteself! My friend, tells me about the car, and goes and takes a look. As smart as my friend is, hes a little more function over form then i'd like... Anyways, im really nervous about buying my first soviet auto, without seeing it, but he gives me his word its a good car. So next thing i know, i owe my friend 2300 bucks. So now we have a great big problem 2 vehicals, 1 driver.
Anyways, problem solved take gander at the photos.
There it is! my little niva, just preping the bike...
Yep, you guessed it, motorbike, back of the niva..
Really, dont know how they managed to fit it all in there.
Anyways they did. Heres a few photos my friend took of the trip back to regina! SHE MADE IT NO PROBLEM! YA RUSSIA.
So, now its here! Time to test it out...
I Have alot more photos! And alot more to write, but imageshack is pooping right now. I'll talk more when im not so angry. And explain the purpose of buying my niva... the race. Budapest - Bamako.
TAke care and HELLO

Welcome along.
I see semi-regular hits from Saskatchewan on my site - there must be other Nivaesti nearby...

If you do not have anything to occupy yourself - buy a Niva. |
