I have a "small" problem with my mog hydraulics, in that I'm not getting the full200bar, I'm only getting around 100bar, the two options I've got are, either someones screwed around with the relief valve on the spool valve block, or the pumps on the way out. with a test gauge on the connections, I get 100bar from fast idle to max rpm, I think this tends to throw me towards the pressure relief vave rather than the pump anyone out there got any ideasor comments on this. I really need the 200bar for my log splitter to split the big stuff, and work the winch.
cheers
Paul

Pressure relief valve on the spool block is my money.I believe you can remove it and clean it but it rarely fails due to contamination.I assume your oil and filter is in good nick?
Let me know how you get on.

I know when I had a worn pump on mine - the pressure curve was linear and dependant on speed. The wear in the pump is very noticable as "slip" at low revs but less so as you speed up. I reckon it will be PRV or suction line?

My moneys on relief valve.
Suction problems normally make the hydraulics juddery as gas bubbles form and make the oil spongy. Normally you can still get full pressure but not flow.
And everything else (leaks internal) have pressure dependant on speed. But there should still be some pressure change with speed, but maybe only 100 or 200 PSI.
Might have bust the relief valve spring. Rare, but does happen (generalisation, as never tinkered with mog, but hydraulics is hydraulics ).
But more likely its been wound down on pressure to protect something that was connected previously?

well guys, after all the signs showing it to be the prv, it was the pump, wear inside wasnt letting it build the pressure, new pump fitted, and alls well, even the crane works faster now. next problem on the fixit list now, find and fix the air leak in the trailer air system (nightmare !!!!). thanks for your help and opinions guys
