Hi All,

well after my son dunking his 90 in the lake at Core it seems he did indeed damage more than we thought. The vehicle was taken into the garage where a bent conrod was diagnosed along with a front diff, and front prop + a rear uj on the rear prop.
Trouble is that we depoart for the Macmillan 4x4 UK Challenge at 5pm Thursday Night.
I was at my witts end as to what to do. I phoned Pete who then contacted the guys at RJB www.rjbautokraft.co.uk . They phoned me and are fitting a 200 tdi with less than 35,000 miles, new cambelt etc. They are also fitting the diff as well and have said they have had a word with their guys and they will be pulling an all nighter tomorrow night so that we can get to the start line.

I cannot thank them enough for their generosity and help. These guys really are helping to make a huge difference.

They are true stars.

Well I dropped the Team Chaos 90 off this morning and had breakfast with the guys. They are not only replacing the engine but they are replacing the clutch and diff, and fixing the cooling fan as well. These guys are top people and I have no reservation in recommending them to any of you. Through their generosity my son Michael will be able to takle his place on the starting line of the Mac 4x4 UK Challenge on Friday.
It is not often you find people as generous as this and Michael and I cant put into words how grateful we both are.

To have planned our entry into the Mac for so long what with the navigator training we provided, the documentation the equipment, not to mention all of the other hundreds of other little details that crop up every day and to see it all slipping away, well, as you can imagine we were heartbroken. I dont mind telling you (as Pete can vouch) after I was told of their generous offer I was very, very emotional as was Michael. It was as though all of our christmas's had come at once. I am getting choked writing this so I will end it there.

well its now 2am thursday morning the new engine is in and running with no issues, the kenlow fan has been re wired and is working again so its just some lose ends and the front axle diff and prop in the mor....... later today Laughing

and then i will run the car to luton for the lads to make therer way to the mac 4x4 event

off for a couple of hours sleep now been up for 20 hours straight and a little knakerd
