ok im down to fitting my pistons inside the caliper and ive read somewhere but cant remember where that when installin the piston you are supposed to use some kind of special grease? is this mandintory? or is it just an extra precautionary measure? thanks in advance.

I've only ever used a smear of rubber grease on the seals to help them home if tight, otherwise a bit of brake fluid helps.

There is a rubber grease that can be used, but I've always used a "smear" of clean brake fluid.

regular grease should not be used, as it can make rubber swell/expand.

I can confirm you should NOT use normal grease or oils!!
