You can either upload a pic directly off your PC using the 'add an attachment' thing below (If it's been set up to alow)

Or register a photobucket or flickr account, upload a pic from your PC to them, then once it's uploaded youll see next to the pic a line of text which looks like

Code:
[img]http://photobucket.com/fredbloggs/unimog/funkypic.jpg[/img]

Copy and paste that whole bit of text into a new post.

If you want to use a pic from anywhere on the internet - if you right click on the picture and go to properties you'll see a bit of text which looks like

Code:
http://randomwebsite.com/gallery/prettypicture.jpg

Copy that text, paste it into a new post, highlight it and then click on the Img button at the top (or just type)

Code:
[img] [/img]
at each end of the url

If you find a post which has a pic in, click on 'quote' as in your going to reply to the post but quoting there, have a look at what's there and it should make some sence.

In fact....

I've just done a search on google for this pic.

http://z.about.com/d/4wheeldrive/1/0/e/W/Stu_TN_1962Unimog1_RR.jpg

To add it as a pic, I'm going to put

Code:
[img] [/img]
at each and so it looks like

Code:
[img]http://z.about.com/d/4wheeldrive/1/0/e/W/Stu_TN_1962Unimog1_RR.jpg[/img]

and what appears is...

[/code]

Uploading the pic from your PC to the internet is the tricky bit, adding the pics is easy Very Happy

Hope that helps.
