Does anyone know where I can find the information that was on Sean Huffman's TURBONIVA.CA?
I've found a few links from other sites, but they don't work anymore.

Hasn't been working for quite a few months now. Somebody on here might have an email address for him.

Can you remember what was on it (I never knew it when it worked)?
I found a reference to a 'custom exhaust' and would like to read about it.

As the site name suggests it was a photo essay of a build of a turbo Niva. I'm assuming the custom exhaust was to accomodate the turbo.
What to you want a custom exhaust for? A quick and dirty fix to the standard system it to remove the back box and replace it with a straight pipe. Sounds better and gives better mid-range grunt.

Just for the record, I'm interested in reading about a lot of things that I'll never actually do*. A fancy exhaust doesn't strike me as something that would improve the Niva much. Even at high revs, a 1.6L engine is not going to push out a huge amount of air. Of course, I still want to read everything that has been written about it just in case my gut reaction is wrong (I'm not saying it happens often, but sometimes, very rarely, due to crazy circumstances, I have been wrong).
*I also read all the stuff in the other parts of this forum, but I have no plans to buy a 4wd from each manufacturer ... yet.

Thanks!
I had no idea internet time machines existed!
So I guess the next question is
"Where can I find a suspension lift for a DeLorean?"

Sean just quit his Niva site and his Niva project; but some stuff is still available if you send a mail to him at booneylander@hotmail.com
As long I know, he uploaded a lot of material to a new site.

Quite a dramatic change !!!!
From sluggish Nivas to superbikes.
But no every thing is lost and Sean will prepare a section devoted to his former "love".

I'm with Sean on MSN at this moment, said he'd be glad to join our forum...
Said he had to turn down turboniva.ca since he can't afford to pay hosting for two websites, but he has plans to upload the Niva stuff to seanhuffman.com shortly.
So, let's have a lil' patience then...

Wow.
That internet time machine just blew my mind. I never knew such a thing existed, and it's so neat to go back and view all the older versions of my website. That's truly amazing.
I'm not dead and I haven't given up on Nivas. But I have a full time job now so I don't have time to spend wrenching on Nivas like I did back when I was in highschool/college, as such I'm forced to drive something *reliable* on a day to day basis. I'll still have interesting Niva projects, but expect them to progress on a yearly timeframe...

|
|
|
I've got 3 DVDs of lada content, US Invasion 2005, US Invasion 2006, and Maynooth (LOCC event) 2006.
I wanted to upload the ISO files to my website so that people could download them, and burn their own DVDs, but they are all 3-4GB files, and even with what was supposed to be "high speed" internet, I'm only managing 60K/sec, and it would take me something like 18hrs to upload each file.
Does anyone here have a really really fast way of uploading? If so I could send you DVDs with the ISO files on them so you could upload them for me. The other option is if someone wanted to burn a bunch of copies I could send you the ISOs so you could burn as many as you like and hand them out/mail them to everybody. I tried that with the Invasion 2005 DVDs but I don't have enough free time to keep up with all the people wanting disks.

Hi Sean.
Yours was one of the sites that persuaded me to get one of the little blighters as well.
If you want I'll stick the archive on Turbo-Nutter or ladaniva.co.uk
Cheers

...and here is a scandinavian that also spent hours on your site two years ago, getting more and more ready to take the step into the world of Niva. Now I'm stuck, a Lada-addict - but I'm happy! Thanks!

Just to update this.
I've started re-uploading my content for anyone that might be interested.
www.t7r.ca/turboniva/index.html
I've been gone for a long time (last update to my website was in 2005 - ouch), but I've got a project in the pipeline. Stay tuned, this summer should be a good one.
