hi

the back end of the chassis on the patrol is pretty much beyond plating it now

the spring mount is on the boot floor and theres cracks in the chassis now

how have people repaired the chassis (pics will help)

i was thinking along the lines of a full chassis re build on the back made from box section as theres not much to plate onto

cheers
ben

I dont have pics but Chris aka SPAM zuke had the same problem.

He did a lovely job on rebuilding his but it was a major job the stripped the back of the car (axle tank etc and fully remade it he also movet the axle back while he was at it. Soe serious hours went in though. Very nice job when it was done.

He made templates the cut the steel to suit.

Good luck.

On the other hand i have taken the rear half of the shell off mine and so it would be a much easier job now sadly not an option if your not cabbing.
