Has anybody here ever fitted An Atikinson Vos Turbo kit. They seem to imply that it is a straight bolt on kit? Anybody have any experience or advice?

Budget a tad more than the price they list! You'll need extras like a full exhaust system. But contact Simon, he's prety open and upfront.
I have almost all the parts that i need bar the exhaust manifold and one air intake pipe.It has been a project of mine to do for a while now,but I cheated and bought a little time with a 130 bhp pump from Vos.This has transformed the truck on its own.I have a few projects to fit prior to finishing the turbo install, like a rear ground anchor, rear Werner winch, front 9 tonne Bosch winch and a touch of rust repair this weekend in the front n/s footwell.

Let me know how you get on!

Hmm I already have a stainless exhaust, so if my exhaust will be too restrictive, the turbo kit would not reach its full potential and be a waste. I,m already at 130BHP and hoped it would take me out to around 150bhp, but I,m more interested in the torque for pulling fully loaded on the hills.

You may find that your exhaust will be more compatible than mine is to the turbo system. The bore of mine is smaller than the turbo mogs. You will probably still have to buy one or two small sections from MB to mate your exhaust to the turbine.Speak to Simon at AV, he's very approachable and knowledgable. When I get a around to fitting mine I have a shop who is going to custom make mine from the back of the turbo right up to the top of the cab.
I too am looking for more torque,as the BHP figures are reasonably irrelevant. This is especially true as mine is now over geared due to an increase in tyre size, and i keep bolting on more heavy things...

Good luck.

Thanks normalbloke, I would do the conversion myself, looking at the pics on the AV site, there,s not a lot to it so long as all the manifold bolts play ball. I,m sure I could make a up a flexi section to mate the two parts of the exhaust if the flanges are different. I,m going to try not to put heavy things like a crane on board. But I am on the lookout for a BIG winch.
