Hi, 2 questions about my Mog's pneumatic system (I haven't had a vehicle with pneumatics before):

1. I believe it's possible to tap-off an airline for tyre inflation from some point in the system - would this be the connectors just in front of the accumulator tanks on the right hand side of the vehicle? If so - what connectors etc do I need?

2. I've got an electrical winch with a pneumatically operated clutch - where is the best point to tap into a pressure feed?

Thanks, Ian

Ian, do you have trailer braking on the back?Usually a yellow and a red palm coupling(aka glad hands in dafter countries)I use the red coupling, and have an adapter from a glad hand to a PCL airline fitting. This costs less than a tenner and you can run anything you liek from it,within the capabilities of your compressor.

As for the feed for the clutch,i'd have a look and see if there is a supply under the seat or near to the seat,as mine had one here for a pneumatic seat.
Good luck

Yes, I've got the trailer couplings - I'll look for a coupler - can you suggest seach terms for e-bay?
I think that there might be a similar coupling somewhere at the front - I'll have a look during the week - not sure why it would be there - I may be mistaken.
Thanks Ian

I suspect buying them from the US to ship here would be probably the most inefficient way of doing it,especially on a £2.99 bit!

Anyway, the Queens English was here way before the Americans slaughtered it!All in the best possible humour of course...

Actually although a bit off subject/topic there is a British historian (name escapes me at the moment, I will have to find it ) who has clearly documented that the English settlers who became North Americans actually spoke English the way it was in the 18th century and today is a natural development of the language AND in fact it is US Brits that have slaughtered it all as you put it!
So as HE put it if you want to know how English is supposed to be spoken listen to a New Englander!
Was news/surprise to me but I had a Vermonter truck driver in the shop the other day that spoke English like a Cornishman and he had never set foot in the UK.

There are a couple of chapters on this in 'A Short History of Nearly Everything ' by Bill Bryson (American) Wink
