i am going to paint the wheels on my landcruiser silver,
what is the best paint to use,,i have tried hamerite spray but it turns outvery dull and greyish
i also tryed plasticote silver but it comes off when you rub it with a cloth, also when you laquer it its turns greyish
what i am looking for is the colour and finish that you get with new silver wheels.

the colous of the silver modular in the pic is what i am looking for.

Powder coating would be your best bet, its much harder wearing.

I can get them powdercoated for you any colour under the sun including pearls, flakes and flip flops Wink

Shoot me a PM if you are interested. Smile

Metalic particles in the base coat or laquer, that flips colour from different angles or light. green through blue to yellow etc.
(a super dooper metalic really)
'Flip' Or like your white pearlesent often seen on 'custom!!' golfs,
that goes from white to pink.
Nice finish for 'deep dish modulars' i think. NOT
george
Ps not a good example here, because you cant see the colour it flipped to.

Pretty much what he said ^^

This is a holographic flip flop: Black Stardust

This is a black/red graduated flip flop: Black Lava

Not something I would personally choose especially not for wheels but they seem to be quite popular amongst certain crowds Wink

If you like a bright silver,
then get that, as long as it doesnt look to bright like 'wheel silver'. (Sh*t)

Its down to taste, go into the motor factors or halfords look at the touch up can lids & decide the silver you like.

I prefer a titanium grey silver, sometimes a Ford code, sometimes i like a VW silver. Different metal flake sizes,
then lacquer while wet.
The painter will do what ever colour you choose.
Dont paint to thick near the stud holes.
