just a quickie, i need a new stereo in my new scooby, the one fitted is ok, but i'd like to interface my ipod... anyone got experience of which ipod controlling stereos are best, pros and cons for different models?

interface?
well depends on how far you want to go and how much you want to spend.
do you just want the sound to exit your speakers (just about any cheapo system with aux in)
or do you want the ipod concealed and full control/display via the head unit (quite a bit more money)
give me vehicle details and a budget and ill get you some options.

I've just got a JVC unit with aux in iPod connection and phone Bluetooth - really good, the head unit controls the iPod classic ; menu looks different but follows same display and selection patterns £225
looked at other unit with line in jacks but they gave no control, and the "box" adapter to trick the head unit into thinking the ipod is another cd changer was a compromise
