|

|
Hi guys,
I used the wrong battery to jump start another car. It was dark and the jump leads where not long enough. So I pulled off the plastic cover the nearest battery. In the morning I read the warning label on the plastic cover, not to use it to jump start (GREAT ONE).
Anyone any idea what I could have broken or cooked?
Not feeling too clever,
Martin

That's a bit like saying,
" Do not use this battery to start a car "!
All very odd.
Need more details ie.
What make and model of battery?
Roger

if its a factory setup its probably because the relay will get confused and could possibly burnout
just chuck a mulitmeter on both battery and monitor the charge values
she'll be right

that and everything is ran from the main battery and the aux is just for seccondary starting
sometimes you can and sometimes you cant start by jumping off the aux battery it just depends which way the relay has clicked
by the sounds of it the relay was clicked to the aux so i dont think its a case of damage more the fact that it will always jump on the main but not always on the aux leading you to pull stuff apart that you dont need to
