I am setting up a WVO settling / filtering system and have been offered a couple of steel barrels that used to have red diesel in them. Will the dye have stained the barrel and will it come off on the veg oil as I settle it? If so will the product might stain the system in the car and I might get in trouble with the revenue. What does anyone think? Is this a possibility?

Its doubtful that there will be more than a trace of dye or chemical marker in the drums.
Swill them out with a small amount of petrol first if you're very worried!
