driving to work, disco 200tdi stuck in 2nd. was all fine wen started out, all gears ok, no bumps or knocks etc, cluch been fine, not slipping etc, so limped home and just left her there Confused any ideas ?

selector fork may have snapped

either way sounds like a gearbox recon job

maybe get someone to push it backwards while you try to get it out of gear. but either way it dont sound good

disco how has all gears ? oil fine and new ish, 3 months since changed same with hyd fluid. no leaks,
maybe clutch fork bending ? if its snapped id have no gears ?
suppose box coming off what ever Rolling Eyes .

Just strip the top - its a selection problem (loose grub screw most likely), dont go ripping the box out till you need to - there's loads you can check/fix with it in place.........
