I have taken the Ford York out of my wagon to fit the Fiat Iveco 2.5 Tdi but I need someone with a standard petrol engined Mog to give me a fairly accurate measurement of the gap between the tubular cross member and the bottom of the spacer between gearbox and engine so that I can get my front engine mounting right.
I have never had a standard motor and the gearbox can be jacked up and down pivoting around its rear mount, so I need to know what it should be?
Can anyone help? The York is a good runner and free to collector if you are mad enough to want it - make a good anchor!
Dursley Gloucestershire.

No - its a four cylinder 2.4 about 65 bhp? It was mated to a chopped Mog bell housing with a transit bell housing welded on the front.
Deffo not a pro job though!
If you get 5 mins just measure your gap where the curved spool between engine and gearbox sweeps up over the tubular cross member? I have about 35mm at mo. I was hoping someone with a standard mog would come back but its a bit quiet at the moment.
This one hasnt been a sprayer - it was a military mock up.

Thanks for that - bout 15mm? As I said mine is 35mm and I wondered if that was done to get the york sump up and away from the top of the diff?
I was concerned about getting it right because if the box is tweaked up too much it will affect the torque tube alignments?
I think we need a Mog poll now to see what standard Is!!!
Thanks for your help and if anyone else gets a chance I would be grateful?
Im taking plenty of pics as I go along - so if it works I will publish - if it doesnt I will probably be very quiet and mumble into my beard!!
