Hello..

How does the Shogun Sport compare to the Older Shoguns please?.

Is the 2.5TD powerful enough and reliable enough as I know the Older Shoguns were better in 2.8TD versions.

I notice that most manufacturers use bigger engines than a 2.5 in their larger vehicles ie: Terrano 2.7TD.

The Shogun and maybe the Shogun Sport is on my shortlist of next vehicle alongside the Nissan Terrano 2.7TD, Isuzu Trooper 3.1TD and Landcruiser or Hilux surf 3.0TD.

Do the Shogun sports have difflocks or LSD's?.

Thank You

KP

when you say sport i guess you mean the swb and yes all shoguns have rear difflock unlike pajeros, the 2.5 is fine but the 2.8 is nicer i have a 2.5 lwb with 33" tyres and it does strugle uphills
my mate a has a swb 2.8 and its a little rocket

Morning lammychop.

I have been looking at some 2004 Shogun Sport Equippes which are long wheel base but seems to me to be not as tall or as wide as the older shoguns and I have only ever seen them with a 2.5Td engine.

I need a LWB and preferably with the option of 7 seats.

Glad to hear that the shogun has a rear locking Diff.

Thank you

There were some Mitsubishi Challengers (grey import sports) that came into the UK with 2.8 engines.

Sports and Challengers should be better compared with L200s rather than Shoguns

Hello.

When you do a search on autotrader for shogun I found that there are 3 seperate sections to choose from.

Shogun.
Shogun Pinin.
Shogun Sport.

The Shogun Sport seems to be narrower and not as tall as the Classic Shogun. I am not sure if the sport has replaced the classic shape models.

Here is one that I have been looking at on autotrader online :-http://search.autotrader.co.uk/es-uk/www/cars/MITSUBISHI+SHOGUN+SPORT/Ne-2-4-5-6-7-8-27-44-49-53-61-64-67-103-133-146-236,N-51-71-240-4294962109-4294967220/advert.action?R=200918333366559&distance=59&postcode=NG21+9EH&channel=CARS&make=MITSUBISHI&model=SHOGUN+SPORT&min_pr=&max_pr=&max_mileage=&vehicleYearOfManufacture=2005&vehicleRegLetter=05

Thank You

i have had alook at them myself, they seem to be l200 more than a shogun.bit like a hilux surf?

they seem ok but a bit of a harsh ride for me? the boot is huge but not sure you get the 7seats.

Thanks for the replies.

They seem to be cheaper than the larger shoguns.

Does anyone know if the Shogun Sports will have a diff lock like the larger shoguns do.

Thanks Again.
