Hi guys,
I am now the proud owner of a Waeco 50l fridge (well nearly, should arrive in a few days)
I was wondering what size wires to use to hard wire it to the battery. I was planning on using the stuff that people wire amps in with, say 4mm diameter.
What's everyone else using?
Cheers

Hi Roo,
your fridge unit should be about 40watts?
power = volts X amps, therefore amps = power / volts
amps = 40/12 = 3.33 amps, which would be handled by normal 8 amp accessory cable.

A nominal 1mm^2 thin wall cable will be more than enough.

Right, installed the wires today. I went for some 15amp wire airing on the side of caution. I've heard of fridges not getting cold enough if the cable is too small.
Just need the fridge to arrive now
