Evening all,

Some time ago there was talk about how some of you have, when rebuilding front hub's and swivels, smoothed out the imperfections on the ball face.

Have looked but cannot seem to find the info.

Any chance someone can point me in the right direction please.

Mine are awful Rolling Eyes

Thanks.

Used that same method on my Daihatsu's balls too. Sanded the filler with some 1200 wet and dry and painted them with silver Smoothrite (or equivalent from Screwfix which is much better) and they are still fine 3 years later. I used the Oneshot semi-liquid grease that Bearmach sell for Landrover swivels, the bit that gets past the seal keeps it nice and corrosion free.

Alastair.
