As some of you may know I’ve recently brought a 404 mog. I am aware that there are two main unimog suppliers in the U.K (both of which are in Lancaster)
• Westfield 4x4
• Atkinson vos
I just wondered whether there are any other supplies in the U.K which stock 404 mog spares.

Also since I drove 260 miles I am planning to change the oil in the mog (so that it’s fresh for the first outing/drive around). I just wondered if anyone could quickly tell me the recommended oil for the standard Mercedes-Benz M 180 engine.

Thanks
Tom

Hi Tom,

I normally use Westfield for my spares, don't know of any others. ebay is a good source too, Ive got some parts from the the US via ebay.com

As for engine oil, the book advises 10w - 30 (-15 to +20 celsius)

Regards

Mike

Mudie Bond is where I bought my Mog from.Had a good service from them regarding the sale.Everything you will buy from Atkinson ptretty much will come from Mudie Bond, and their prices in my expoerience have always been almost identical. What I do like about Atkinson Vos, is that you can call and order a part by description, with MB if you haven't got a chassis number it pretty muc stops there.

There is also Park Agri over Essex way(untried, although I did visit once)
AC Price
Ebay.de is also worth a try, although many do not take paypal, and almost all list as postage to germany only, which is often made good with a polite email.
And finally, have a peek at Rockymountain moggers for the biggest link of Mog sellers/parts/websites and anoraks.
I have a U1000 for reference.

Good luck

Saw a nice 404 parked up at Donnington for the British Indoor 4x4 show today. Looked nice and original. Was it anyone from on here's?
