Hi, have a friend ( no realy I do ) with a Prins system installed on his V8 BMW 4x4. BMW would not work on his cylinder head gaskets with the gas kit in place so he removed the injector solonoids and cables.
Reassembled its lumpy and hard to tickover. Just going on his description, not seen car yet. I think he may have got connections mixed. Does anyone out there have a wiring diag. or PDF of installation instructions they could let me have please?
Dont know why I'm doing this, I told him not to sell his P38

More than likely ; bet he wishes he marked them now, but at least he'll always remember in future.
Tell him to put his specs on and peel back any wrapping if necessary, the Prins inj numbers are printed tiny on the wires themselves.
HOWEVER - he will have to guess what was in the installers mind as to which is which - did he plumb them in as 1-2-3-4 down one bank , or 1-3-5-7 ?? Functionally it does not matter, so long as the Prins trigger signal wire no.1 is connected to the petrol injector on the cylinder that gas injector no.1 is piped to - it's immaterial what number BMW call it.
Ultimately he might have to trace the signal wires on the petrol side to find out. This is complicated by there being two different wiring schemes in this area, old and new styles.
Old style uses all yellow+white petrol side signal wires, with the inj number printed on them.
New style uses different colours for each.
Google is your friend, search

This is a pirate copy of the new-style docs

Update, problem solved. A poor crimped connection. Remade soldered and heat shrunk cover. Running spot on.
Thanks again
