we use a "buffet table" when camping ; stronger than camping tables and fast to put up, with robust locks and able to take teh weight of cookers, small fridges ect

when we went to the Sahara - one of the guys had those fold up 4 seater picnic tables, worked well TBH

This is the table we bought, perfect size to fit in the side locker of our truck, and comes with 4 stools that are lightweight but strong enough to easily hold my rotund frame
Bought t from 4x4 Touring Gear but I can't find it on their website

Make one of these
Cheap, just use what you can find, mine is a 8mm thick laminate.
The poles for the awning clip underneath so we shouldnt loose any, dont forget the toasting forks!
