Hi

Hope one of you guys can shed some light on a question

A Mate of mine has a n/a sprinter... its a non turbo unit .. maybe 2.3 ?? 2.5 ??

its a 4 pot

sounds like the head gasket gone...

I plan to replace it on Sunday

any advice ?? anything to look for ? what kind of a job is it ??

As far as I know Sprinters have aluminium heads so get it checked for warping and get it skimmed before you just put a new gasket on

well we did it...

did not skim it... found were it was blowing... so was happy to risk it...

so far so good... we did make sure the engine was stone cold before removing the headbolts in a spiral manor.
